Midway through Carpenter’s set, the stage lights dimmed to simulate a power outage before Ferrell appeared dressed as an electrician, dragging a cable across the catwalk while joking about missed tech rehearsals and asking fans if anyone had room in their Airbnb. His bit ended with him “restoring” power to reveal a new stage setup, one of the standout moments of the night.
The cameo followed an earlier appearance by Susan Sarandon, who delivered a short monologue as an older version of Carpenter, adding to the theatrical “Sabrinawood” theme of the performance.
