‘SNL’ Reveals Final Season 51 Lineup With Olivia Rodrigo, Matt Damon and Will Ferrell

“Saturday Night Live” has unveiled a star-studded lineup to close out Season 51, featuring a mix of first-time hosts, returning favorites and major musical acts.

Pop star Olivia Rodrigo will pull double duty as both host and musical guest on May 2, marking her hosting debut on the long-running NBC sketch series. Rodrigo previously appeared as a musical guest in 2021 and 2023 and is set to release her upcoming third album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” on June 12.

Actor Matt Damon will take over hosting duties on May 9, with singer-songwriter Noah Kahan serving as the musical guest. Damon, who last hosted in 2018, returns to Studio 8H amid anticipation for his upcoming film “The Odyssey,” directed by Christopher Nolan, which is slated for a summer release.

The season finale on May 16 will be led by longtime “SNL” alum Will Ferrell, marking his sixth time hosting the show. Music legend Paul McCartney will appear as the episode’s musical guest, continuing his long history with the program, including multiple performances and anniversary appearances.

Ferrell, who was a cast member from 1995 to 2002, remains one of the show’s most recognizable figures, known for his work in films such as “Elf” and “Anchorman.” His return comes as he prepares for his upcoming comedy projects, including a new streaming series currently in development.

Meanwhile, McCartney’s appearance will mark his fifth time performing as a musical guest on “SNL.” The former Beatle continues to tour and record new music, with a new album expected later this year.

The final stretch of Season 51 follows a strong run of celebrity-driven episodes that have boosted ratings and online engagement for the show. “Saturday Night Live,” which airs live on NBC and streams on Peacock, remains a cornerstone of late-night television more than four decades after its debut.

New episodes air Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET.
